I’ve hand cut and polished Australian Lightning Ridge White Opal into the shape of a pizza. Then I set the pizza opal on a lovely sterling silver claw ring band to show off all angles and sides of the glorious gem.

Diameter: 16.91mm (US size: 6.5 or AUS/UK size: M1/2).

*It is important to note that this piece is crafted with care and features a 'relaxed' fit setting. This approach takes into account this particular opal's placement on the lower end of the Mohs hardness scale-meaning this opals properties is one that is softer in nature and more delicate (please refer to our Caring for Your Jewels page for more on the Mohs scale).  Therefore, this piece of jewellery allows for a slight, barely noticeable movement of the gemstone.
